Article today in ESPN about how he trained with Chinese monks this summer. Crazy stuff. I am worried that by the time my Bulls get good again, it may not matter. Maybe he’ll retire to play soccer or volleyball.

And he seems like a really centered dude. Wants to be great and willing to do what it takes to get there. And he kicked basketballs stuck in a net! Nobody responded to that. That is absurd athleticism and flexibility.

OT: Caitlin Clark first WNBA rookie ever to record a triple double

Fair Good point. I don’t watch it much either and should probably just mind my own business. I enjoy most other women’s sports but the difference in athleticism and explosiveness in basketball seem much more dramatic and obvious to me. I think Detroit will win (maybe) but agree on the...

OT: Caitlin Clark first WNBA rookie ever to record a triple double

30 percent from 3 and 5 turnovers a game. I struggle with the women’s game.

39 points tonight. Triple double with blocks in the first game of the series. If he stays healthy, he will end up as the greatest player of all time. Saw a video where balls got stuck in the net and he kicked them out. Look up at your ceiling and think about that.

Former NU assistant Billy Donlon hired by Eastern Michigan

He was here during the low point of Collins’ tenure. I got the impression he was not the best influence on Collins.

BTT Game Thread: Northwestern vs. Penn State

Not playing a lot of minutes because he is always in foul trouble. Getting paid to contribute more.

BTT Game Thread: Northwestern vs. Penn State

He needs to make huge strides next year. He has taken Hunger’s place as the walking foul. Really tired of the hands straight in the air and puzzled look. He’s not a twitchy athlete and needs to play a lot smarter.

Game Thread: Northwestern vs. No. 15 Purdue

Yes. Quoting a show that ended almost 20 years ago makes me feel old. You should come back with a line from the Sopranos and I will feel really out of touch. All those new fangled cable tv shows with their cursing and immorality. Damn Gen-Z. Seriously, though, One-Note, why do you think...

Game Thread: Northwestern vs. No. 15 Purdue

I have followed these boards for a long time and periodically there is some one-note ******* who offers no real insight but feels compelled (for probably very sad reasons) to monopolize the board (DocCat anyone?) with basically the same post over and over. If that is how you define king -then...

    Gotta give these guys credit

Everybody needs to get better on defense and that will make a big difference. Gelo may be the only plus defender in the lineup. Big Matt played with Audige, Berry and Barnhizer. And even Boo became a good on the ball defender. Singleton, in particular, needs to make a big jump next year...

    Fun player comparison

Great post. I see Law as a 3 and Singleton as a 4. Law was much faster than Tre but Tre already has a B1G build. Law was very skinny when he was a freshman. Law had no post game and struggled to finish at the basket but he could come off screens and hit 3’s like Berry. He was an also great...

    Last Night

Gelo looks good shooting in warmups. Hits most of his shots and his form looks fine. Don’t disagree on the ball not coming off his finger tips but I think the biggest issue is confidence. Hard to airball from 15 feet even if the ball comes off your palm. And the free throw shooting has to be...

Nice job Bears! Not a Bears fan, didn't grow up in Chicago, but always rooted for you while I was there! Link

Most of the analysis I have read concludes DJ Moore ran the wrong route so it was not a bad decision. Every quarterback misses receivers. He turned the ball over 7 times in the regular season and had the lowest treasure to sack rate in the NFL. What countless mistakes did he make in the...

What are the maddening parts of his game that cost them often? He misses some open receivers. I get that. That has gotten better and I am confident will continue to improve. What mistakes did he make in the Green Bay game?
