    I never understood why the defense didn't pick that apart more. First of all, I walk all day as part of my job, and 283 steps is really not a whole lot of steps in the grand scheme of things. Also, a phone is not very accurate in calculation of steps imo.

    I guess I did a bad job of explaining my point. I know it's only to use to show motive but I feel as though they have went to sharing as much of the financial info to paint him as a bad person because the evidence is not there for a conviction. Jmo

    Now that they have allowed the financial crimes in, it's almost as if the murder charges have taken a backseat. I get the feeling that the prosecution knows they don't have enough to get a conviction unless they continue to hammer the financial stuff.

    I think this is where the defense focus should be. They are basing the time of the murder on when the phones locked. I'm sure that is the time they occurred but there is no way to prove that exactly. It's an assumption based off their phone habits.

    The part that I found interesting was that the phone registered 59 steps at 8:53 but none after. If I was the defense, I would use this to help my case. I don't own an iPhone but I'm assuming it would still log steps if someone else had the phone. I would argue that he would have had to taken...

    Only way that makes sense to me is if he is scared they will kill the other son. Otherwise I can't see him taking the blame and spending the rest of his life in prison for something he didn't do.
