    Needed base runners for a few innings. Right now, USC may be as good as there is left. They looked less worn out than we in this heat. Power displayed, bottom of the order carrying a load for them. Oh, well, there’s always another day to Vernette a W but that’s all.

    Wow! I mentioned sitting & talking with him on a cold evening at the Bosh while watching a game. He is not a big kid but was so cordial. And I asked him if he played baseball! 🤣 Does he ever! We’ve got another very humble seeming but very talented young man coming!

    Ben, I agree with you, no question What we have done in years past, I alluded to Coop & Jake. However, there’s some serious talent hitting the portal who have performed at the D-1 level already. We have done well getting some great guys at lower levels.

    Do we go after the biggest D1 names entering or getting guys like we have with Schaeffer & Nicholson, we have been successful there, imo. Are there bidding wars as we see in basketball & football, maybe not to that degree, however?
