Haven’t really kept up with them since Oliver left. No longer have kids in the program. Who did Glessner bring in? He was an Oliver guy too, I figure any chancellor coaches from Oliver’s old staffs would want to see him succeed was that not the case?
Who ran him out of town? The core of the final Oliver staff has moved out of the area or are at King George, Stafford and riverbend. I think only 1 varsity coach and 1 JV coach remained after Oliver left and Glessner was hired.
What Maryland type issues are you talking about? There was no scandal or issues with that team. That staff was great for those kids. Oliver’s last year they went 9-3 and the JV won a district title. In hindsight maybe would have been smart to hire 1 of the several in house candidates.
We are bad right now, my growing concern is outside of our freshman QB, we talk about being young but all the play makers are seniors. Bush Johnson Martinez and pates are all graduating. I haven't made any JV games this season how are we doing there?
Courtland is winless but the teams they've played are collectively undefeated. I don't see the chargers D having an answer for White to be honest. If Kozlow is playing we've got a chance.
Think we need to just acknowledge we are in full blown rebuild. We aren't magically going to run the table in district play. There is no shame in a rebuild after graduating so many players, we were left with very little varsity experience after last year.
@ChancellorFan how would you compare last year's staff to this one? Cannot believe none of those guys are coaching for the most part. I need to get out and see a practice
Also, I agree EV is probably the class of battlefield but courtland will be a tough out
I'm glad your optimistic! Haven't got to see any practices yet this summer but tall order between the graduates and transfers. Nothing wrong with a rebuild.
Chancellor is going to struggle this year. 24 players graduated and after the coaching change several players transferred. I know they lost their projected starting QB, Armstead who was a 1,000 rusher and another key player went to riverbend.
Here is the FLS article of Chancellor's signing day
