    The Big East had 3 of the Final Four that year, which was played in Lexington. I feel like Captain Obvious posting that, but hell, it's been over 40 years now. /old

    Didn't see the whole game, but in summary, they looked like they: 1) had actually *played* basketball before last night; 2) had actually *practiced* this strange new sport; and 3) were not all complete strangers. It's sad what a low bar that is, but hey - progress!

    My son is 23. It's hard to explain to him how good we've been and how great it feels when we're rolling. In the years that he's been old enough to know what's going on, he hasn't seen it.

    Think back as far as the Rich Brooks hire. Even then Barnhart said nobody wanted to coach here, and he had to beg Brooks. This has been a consistent theme - "nobody wants to coach poor UK" - through his snap-hire of Gillispie and his quick hire of Pope. He doesn't know HOW to run a coaching...

    Nothing I see on the court resembles Kentucky Basketball. Barnhart has been in his job for 23 years, which is way too long. He owns all the bad hires and bad contracts in both basketball and football (obviously too early to evaluate Stein). It's The University of Mitch now. I am not a fan.
