    Pope is smart enough that I think he is probably at least slightly above average in terms of x's and o's. But that is unfortunately greatly overshadowed by his substitution patterns, roster management, inability to motivate and terrible recruiting.

    Is this true? I don't follow recruiting that closely. It should be obvious to anyone that Mullins is at a completely different level than JJ, I assume that was probably true in HS too.

    If he has a similar season next year (same record) but makes it to the Sweet 16 , you'd be happy with that? Personally, a Sweet 16 isn't much of an accomplishment. It's usually 1 win against a team that can't play dead, and depending on your seed, a win against an average team.

    What was he thinking? Just because his coach went there. Makes no sense to me. I had one of my former players play for one of my most hated college teams. I wanted him to do well, but I also still wanted them to lose every game. Never once even considered wearing anything from that school.
