    NRF sell-out?

    ETHS and New Trier football support has never been anywhere near this great even when the Wildkits were mythical state champs when I was in school. This interest is certainly due in good part to curiosity about the new stadium and the opportunity to experience it for a reasonable price.

    I invested a lot of money in loft seats to support the effort to build a new stadium. I would love to see it filled with Cats fans but that can take some time. The ETHS-New Trier game is an effort to give more locals a chance to see what this new place is like as are the discounts being offered...

    NU is ranked 25th in AP poll

    The Miami Ohio loss in 1995 was a fluke. Cats led 28-7 before they blocked a punt for a td and then their unheralded qb got ridiculously hot. Even then , the Cats hold on if the backup long snapper doesn't hike the ball over the Paul Burton's head in the final minute.

    MSU is awful, need to be the hell out of them

    We are going to need a first string secondary back for the rest of the Big Ten season. Walters, Turner and Fussell are missed, even as the backups have performed fairly well.

    People who were there had a great time, The Great Chicago Food Festival was a hit with good sized lines all round. Lots of folks walking around in the concourses during the game. It's a great stadium to watch a game, Is it going to be full all the time? Not a chance. Student wall wasn't even...

    Veronica Burton

    Veronica is thriving with Golden State and the Valkyries are just one win away from the WNBA Finals. She has to be the greatest women's player ever at NU. Team won a Big Ten title while she was here.

    As for Stanford, visiting their new stadium a few years ago did not feel anything like the New Ryan Field. They cut the capacity from 85,000 to 50,000 I think but it's still too big for the size of the school and that means plenty of empty seats and the place felt like "just another football...

    Great finish for the Hawkeyes vs Michigan

    Lots of empty seats in Spartan Stadium as the game started, and lots more when the game ended. Fitzball doesn't seem to have created much of a buzz.

    Just enjoying the moment

    Actually, it wasn't pouring rain until a brief shower at the end of the game and the temperature was rather pleasant. And Colorado did threaten to make it a game with their third quarter TD but the Cats answered right back and that was the ballgame.

    ND-Wisconsin

    I miss playing Wisconsin every year. It had developed into a great rivalry, like Illinois (and probably Iowa since the Barnett years), but now we are playing Maryland, Rutgers and the west coast schools instead. Oh well....I guess I'm just an old fogey.

    I often see the team running the lakefront in the afternoon. Didn't know they were doing so well.
