    Smith's poor shooting doomed Purdue in the second half. vs. Arizona. 1-for-11, and some very good looks. And then he kept passing to covered teammates. A tough way to go out for a very good player.

    Cappy, your writeup demonstrates that Collins knows basketball talent which may need development before it flourishes. Hopefully, that will lead to good things in the future for this young team.

    Page played terrific defense on Bittle. Made him put it on the floor, which is not his strength. He made a 30-foot three to end the half but that is the only clean look he got from deep.

    Free throws have been an issue for him all year, but he did have 16 points last night, hit a big 3 in the first half and was willing to go up against Maryland's leapers on the front line. He's getting better. Can he take a big step forward like Martinelli did his junior year? We shall see.

    Green has clearly lost his confidence. He showed early on that he can make threes but he has to believe. He was continually unable or unwilling to get open shots up. He who hesitates is lost.     How about the call on Martinelli where he avoided contact with the Michigan guard driving to the hoop who lost the ball out of bounds but got two free throws on a "phantom" foul. Replay showed no contact whatsoever. Cats still had a slim lead then.
