    Congrats Cats! (But weird to get all of the iffy calls)

    Bottom line: NU won by three goals ,UNC was scoreless in the final quarter. AND, NU beat them in Carolina to earn the one seed a month ago. UNC fans were rooting hard for Johns Hopkins at the semi I attended and there was a reason for that. Blaming the refs is WEAK.

    How about a D1 hockey program

    With the Blackhawks and Wolves well established in this town, there is no way a college hockey team can succeed here. Omaha, on the other hand, has no pro competition. UIC tried a hockey team 40 years ago (before the Wolves) and could not make a go of it.

    Anyone have any idea what time the CU game will kickoff?

    Looking at the rest of the Big Ten schedule for that day, I think a night game is a strong possibility. Colorado under Deion still has some sway while many of the other matchups are very forgettable. Michigan State at Notre Dame could be a national night game but BTN would need one as well.

    Underwood outcoached again in a big game. Remember when they lost to Loyola in the regional a few years ago as a number one seed. He bought himself some great pro talent from Eastern Europe this year (what happened to all the Illinois guys they used to get?), and they went farther this year...

    Boo Buie > Braden Smith

    Smith's poor shooting doomed Purdue in the second half. vs. Arizona. 1-for-11, and some very good looks. And then he kept passing to covered teammates. A tough way to go out for a very good player.

    This team has been playing well for a while now. They won three straight and then lost heartbreakers to Purdue and at Minnesota before winning these two tournament games. And, don't forget, they were leading 29-2 Michigan by 16 points in the second half before the Wolverines went on a ridiculous...

    Cappy, your writeup demonstrates that Collins knows basketball talent which may need development before it flourishes. Hopefully, that will lead to good things in the future for this young team.

    Page played terrific defense on Bittle. Made him put it on the floor, which is not his strength. He made a 30-foot three to end the half but that is the only clean look he got from deep.
