Everyone talked about how great of a hire this was. Yet, here we are.
First losing season since what their first year?
Think we all know the wrong decision was made here. Tripp Stone was the obvious choice.
When I stumbled on this board in 2011-12 as a sophomore/junior at Catholic I remember him being one of the first posters I noticed. Never met him, but prayers for him, his family and all who loved him.
Question for ILM posters. Saw new Catholic HS opening in Wilmington. Will that impact football there? Or is it going to be more along the lines of smaller Catholic school that does not focus on athletics.
As btango said, you're not talking about us. You have no knowledge of how we work. Tuition assistance is available, but not for athletes. Tuition assistance for non-athletes is pretty tough to get too.
Athletes do not receive those. Only type of discount would be the practicing Catholic discount which is approved by their parish priest and not the school. You must attend mass weekly, in person to attain it. Something like 48 out of 52 weeks plus any holy days of obligation. Not everyone gets it.
One unrelated note. Saw there is a new Catholic HS opening in Wilmington, NC named Father Price HS. Interested to see if they move to be more like CC/CG or more like smaller Catholic schools across state that may not have athletics.
