I agree with all of that, but we all know the so called “experts” would kill us in the media if we played a weak schedule & a crappy conference. We have benefited over the years that the SEC wasn’t that good, but we’ve always played a tough non-conference schedule. My only point was that if...
That’s completely respectable. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. Jsyk, I wouldn’t prefer for everyone to leave either, but instead of looking @ everyone leaving that shouldn’t, I’m thankful that we’re going to have 2 sophomores back guaranteed (green & Richards). That’s 2 that actually...
That’s exactly what I’m talking about when I say you can’t have it both ways. You can’t get the best talent, & expect them to stay 3 years. There’s a reason those players didn’t leave after 1 season. Lord knows they would’ve if they could’ve. Sometimes we’ll get just really good players, but...
That’s not living in the past. I used those as an example because Wall was a program changing player, & he wouldn’t have come here if not for the OAD. live in the present if you want. Knox this year. Fox, Monk, & Bam last year wouldn’t have come here.
Yes the 2 most successful programs overall (since Cal has been & UK). I didn’t know I needed to spell that part out. Im talking about all schools since Cal has been here. I’m sorry. That was my mistake. But I’d rather have the best players than players that either won’t play in the NBA, or...
You can rank them however you want, but if you look @ OAD players, no more have been produced than UK & Duke. Unc doesn’t do OAD & neither does Villanova. I’d take a Wall & Cousins everyday. You don’t get those players if you don’t do OAD.
Some people might not like the OAD. I’m not for it or against it, but the result @ the end of the season is all any of us cares about, & fact is the 2 most successful coaches/programs are UK & Duke (the 2 schools that do OAD the most. Is that a coincidence? I doubt it. People might not like it...
& I forgot to add to my previous post that they weren’t just a #1 seed in 2017, they were the overall #1 seed that lost to a mighty #8 seed Wisconsin that was without star Ethan Happ. That 34-4 record did them zero good. They have a ton of wins each year because they play a weak schedule in a...
We could go year by year with all of those great seedings, & see where they ended up. Just take 2017 for example. They were a #1 seed that lost in the 2nd round. That’s a failure of a season unless your goal is to have a good seeding. We can do this for most of those years if you want. He’s a...
Who cares about total wins? All that matters are wins in the tournament. All of those wins led to great tournament seedings that led to underachieving seasons. If all that matters are championships, they have greatly underachieved
My timeline has only to do with Cal being here. But add that in. I know we (Kentucky fans) wouldn’t be happy with all or nothing. Maybe they are, but they are far from a dynasty with those numbers.
I totally agree. I doubt he can. Just take the time Cal has been here. Sure he’s won the championship twice, but his teams haven’t made it to the 2nd weekend the other 7 seasons.
