    Demarcus Henry crystal ball placed

I thought Kansas had a coach in-waiting on their staff? I remember some Kansas fans mentioning it somewhere. An assistant coach like Scheyer at Duke.

I think he has a similar reputation as Cal before he came to Kentucky where he took some less than savory players with off-the-court issues. I personally don’t care. But we know how sanctimonious Mitch Barnhart is. Or how holier than thou UNC is, despite getting away with murder.

I know some fans keep saying “Who you going to get to replace Pope,” but can we really keep a guy who just doesn’t have the ability to wrangle his players and the fanbase? Before Cal went off the deep end, he was pretty good at keeping everyone in line. Even if it’s a nobody with no previous...

Apparently UNC nor Kentucky tried to get Oats due to his reputation. Who knows what Batt’s relationship with Oats is and whether or not he’d take the Kentucky job. I don’t personally buy it, but some fans do. But I agree if you can’t get an established coach, take Lucas or Shertz.

Say what you will about Cal, but there weren’t really that many examples of turmoil on the team. Seems like a regular occurrence with Pope.

Is Pope the worst high school recruiter in Kentucky history?

I don’t know why he strayed away from those kinds of guys. Rancik was perfect for him and was apparently going to commit before we decided to wait on Freeman. That and guys like Zoom and Wilkins don’t really appear to be his kind of guys either. Pope hasn’t really been true to himself...

I genuinely believe no one should be harassed over something as trivial as basketball. If you’re reaching a point where you’re that angry at Kentucky, just stop watching. Stop supporting. Find a new hobby. But do not harass the coaches nor the players nor anyone else part of the program. But…...

Another example of why recruiting is so important

The problem is now we’re in the opposite direction. We’re recruiting as poorly as Tubby and Billy G did despite having one of the top budgets in the country.

Another example of why recruiting is so important

If they were true, Pope wouldn’t be going after these elite high school prospects. For every recruit he misses, that’s one more player that he doesn’t have for whatever his “plan” for Kentucky is. It’s why everyone who pointed out how concerned we were about taking Mark Mitchell. Pope knew...

Will Wade before even coaching a game for LSU

As much as Cal’s waning years screwed us, we were still respectable. We’ve basically received Tom Crean at Indiana levels of derision under Pope. The media, opposing fans, and Pope’s fellow coaches. There is zero respect.

    What are we even doing?

    Yeah, yeah… Sure.

    What are we even doing?

Why would you post this? This is actually depressing that our program has been reduced to this. But it’s still not the worst one.

    Alston to LSU

For as much talent as he’s gotten over the years, he hasn’t exactly proven he can coach at an elite level like Calipari did before he came to Kentucky.

Another example of why recruiting is so important

You mean we landed a player we knew we couldn’t play. Were we seriously expecting the SEC to change the rules just for us?

So much for whatever spat the daddy had with Will Wade.
