    You are correct about wild quail hunting being a lot work. A few hunters I know that hunt wild quail have started using a flushing dog to get the the birds up along with pointers.

    If you ever go to a show at Red Rocks I highly recommend one of the shuttle services that runs out of Denver. The one we use meets at a bar and drops you off at the upper entrance, it is a little hike after the show but you don't have to sit in traffic to get out. Here is a Link
