    On a brief but brighter note….i enjoyed watching last nights game against Pittsburgh. Always good to beat the Bucs. I grew up during the Big Red Machine era. What a wonderful time filled with awesome memories.

    What the heck….my guess is 60/40 win. We’ve got a puncher’s chance. It’s early, new coaches, elevated talent coming in…basically a retooled football program altogether. The X factor: game is at home and there is something unique about a Kentucky football fan. We are always hyped up early...

    All these games mentioned above are “list worthy” and each has its own unique sting. One of my earliest recollections of extreme disappointment was the 1970 game against Jacksonville. Cats were top rated and my still favorite player of all, Dan Issel was going up against Jacksonville’s center...

    Several come to mind, but the one I simply cannot get over is jacking up 3s instead of feeding it to KAT down low in the Wisconsin loss.

    Agree there are several valid reasons as to why a full court press has gone the way of the underhand free throw, but it sure was fun to watch while it lasted. More specifically, it was that Pitino press that was as exciting to watch as the offense. What a great era in UK basketball

    Grade the Hire of the New Athletic Director - J Batt

    I’m just glad Mitch is finally gone. On that issue alone, I would rate almost any replacement as a solid A. Too often these days, we jump too hard, too positive, too fast. I like the hire for sure and his credentials are solid…but let’s wait and see what we hope for is actually proven.
