The Good, the bad and the ugly:

The Good: - Rocket is the real deal and can catch coming out of the backfield, an NFL talent who manufactures yards - We have receivers who were getting very good separation all game - We have the talent to run an effective option offense - Our DE’s both have very quick first steps and a nose...

I hope Dowell got the clunker out of his system

I agree with the OP. The play calling in this game was an outlier. I have been happy with Dowell’s play calling particularly with the limitations created by a patchwork Oline.

State of this team my thoughts points only

Looks like a poorly coached and very soft team and that is Shane’s responsibility.

    Bell

Bell is the real deal, we didn’t use his talent and he left for a better opportunity. He was one of only a couple we had on offense who will play in the league. Best of luck to him.

Rattler’s inability to run when the OL breaks down (which was often)

Rattler played probably the best QB performance relative to an all time terrible OLine performance in SC history. We have never had a QB capable of playing better under the circumstances.

    Position Group Grades

QB - A+++ One of the best SC QB performance I’ve seen. Shaw, Tanneyhill etc. at their best would have looked bad last night. Rattler is a better QB than Drake Maye and Drake is an excellent QB RB - F We don’t have a RB1 or RB2, how is this possible OLine- F—- Slow footed and poorly prepared...

We have to face 5 or 6 teams with better Defensive lines than NC this year.

I have watched a lot of bad SC football through the years and this is the worst Oline I have ever seen.

    About that legendary SEC "boost"

The delta in the conference payouts will really become drastic in the next few years. This past year SC's Athletic Dept. Revenue was $137.1MM and Clemson's was $122.3MM a $14.8MM delta. The gap has typically been $10MM or less. It will only continue to widen and Clemson knows it is a huge...

A question for those who don't want Clemson in the SEC

NIL has transformed the competitive landscape. If your athletic department is bringing in $50MM more annually than your instate competition then it frees up booster money that would otherwise go to fund the athletic department to be spent on NIL programs.

A question for those who don't want Clemson in the SEC

NIL has changed the status quo. MONEY MATTERS! The delta in the amount of money between the SEC and ACC hasn’t been near as great as it is going to be very soon (2025.) A $40MM to $50MM annual delta gives us a lot more opportunities to differentiate ourselves and puts Clemson in a very bad...

A question for those who don't want Clemson in the SEC

Keep them out of the SEC at all costs. We are on the cusp of finally seeing a drastic disparity in payouts. The $$$’s is the only reason they want to join. They have taken great advantage of a cup cake schedule and now they want to switch to the SEC because they now see the long term consequences.
