    LSU a 3 seed whatever

So Auburn, the SEC tourney champs, shouldn't make the tourney? Miss St. might be over seeded as a 5 but are we seriously acting like they shouldn't be in at all? Ole Miss does feel kinda like an NIT team, ditto FL. I can't be the only one who thinks LSU is the most overrated team in...

    SEC east

While watching this Alabama/A & M game I couldn't believe the announcers were still trying to hype TENNESSEE as being still alive for the playoff. This team lost by 39 points last week! That isn't even considering the crap wins over App St. and the miracle over a mediocre UGA.

ESPN hates that we are still in

The irony is that U of L games tend to do better actual ratings than UK in the FF, so I dunno about the whole UK national following bit. It IS eerie and a little disturbing how N. Iowa went from mid major darling and possible dark horse for the FF to just another small conference victim that no...

Not that impressed with Notre Dame, huh?

It is possible to be impressed with the 24-2 run last night and also think ND is done in the 2nd round. The Irish always struggle mightily with a big, physical, defensive minded team that makes them work in the half court. Duke and UNC aren't really that sort of team. ND can run and gun with...

    ACC Tournament

Why would anyone be disappointed in not winning the ACC tourney in the first year? U of L isn't any sort of favorite and I seriously doubt the ACC would let us win it right off the bat.

    How Many?...

I think U of L goes out west. I just don't think the committee could put U of L in the same region as UK again and be taken seriously ever again. Not right now. That said it really is a 50/50 proposition if Duke and Virginia are 1 seeds, since U of L wouldn't be a 4/5 seed in their regions.

    Courier-Journal still sUcKs

I too ranted about that this morning when I saw the paper at my mom's house. I have long since stopped reading the CJ regularly but I'll check it out on the weekends. Seems to me that they have forgotten that they are a LOUISVILLE paper that is first and foremost supposed to cover the...

    Virginia in the NCAA Tournament

Virginia is a bit too disciplined to lose that early, but I think Sweet 16 is the glass ceiling for this bunch. This whole "play nothing but defense and never score" crap doesn't really lead to much tourney success. Right now someone like Oklahoma is a possible 4 seed along with maybe Utah...

    Notre Dame was pretty impressive

At this point I might rather fall a bit in seeding and wind up a 6, playing a 3 seed like Maryland in the 2nd round. The 2012 comparison is apt but that team was the #1 defensive team in college basketball, whereas this team is maybe 6th or so. It also helped that year to get put in a junk...

Look Uk is a great team but

I can see someone saying Wichita St. had an amazing year last year to run the table in the reg. season. But this year how could UK losing in the 2nd round be thought of as anything but an all time choke job? I can certainly see fans being livid if UK lost to someone like Dayton in a 1/8 game...

Look Uk is a great team but

Arkansas has a couple of good OOC wins in SMU and Dayton. LSU at least beat WVU. Curiously enough South Carolina did beat Iowa State (!?). Tennessee beat Butler early in the season. I am baffled at A & M and UGA being obvious tourney teams though. Neither has any notable wins that I've seen.

Could UK end the season with only one top #20 win

I've said it before and will say it again: Ignore conference play. All this nonsense about teams magically getting better because they start winning a bunch of conference games drives me crazy. UCLA has manged to be a top 50 team because they've won a few in the Pac 12 this year, but does...

    Dare I say it?

The whole thing about being disinterested is someone who phones in a bowl performance in a game they were disappointed to be in. Bama was in the Final 4, so there's no way it would apply. Ironically I felt TCU had all the earmarks of being the "disinterested" team this year, having been...

    The SEC

I'm baffled as to how that Georgia team did not even win the lame SEC East. That's a serious football team that could have given Alabama all they wanted in the SEC title game. Let's not kid ourselves here. The narrative coming out of these bowls is going to be "The SEC West beat each other...
