Any old guys here remember Rainman's UK message board,

I got started on the Wildcat Faithful board in the 90s Loved that board and was very sorry to see it self destruct. I don't remember ever being on Rainmans board. I was using AOL as my internet service at the time. Mel was truly Wildcat Faithful. Mel would have hated what they...

Per Gary Parrish: Humphries expected to reclassify and enroll at Kentucky

I remember one Dan Issel who was a lilly white dude that was no great leaper. He did OK at UK and in the Pros. If this kid can shoot 80 percent from the line he likely has a good stroke otherwise. UK needed another big inside player and evidently they have gotten another big...

Question regarding NCAA recruiting rules and what rules do you think need changing

IMO the rule that coaches can not discuss their recruits before they are signed is a real silly rule. I could see instances however where coaches wouldn't want it known that they were recruiting a player. There is programs out there that just let other coaching staffs evaluate players and...

Isaac Humphries the mystery August big man addition??

and if he wanted to go really big Poythress at SF. I doubt there will be any problem having SS for recruits next year. There will be at least five available.

Per Gary Parrish: Humphries expected to reclassify and enroll at Kentucky

Does anyone really think that Theysosensitive is really a UK fan. I have not seen this kid and know absolutely nothing about him. I do know that UK needs a big to do some banging inside and offer some more depth. He seems to fit that need. 7 feet tall and 260 pounds is a man...

    Mychal Mulder discussion

It is true that Ulis is a great on ball defender out away from the basket but he gets used by bigger guards posting him up inside.

    Mychal Mulder discussion

I am a huge fan of Ulis but I do not think he is an absolute lock to start. He got pushed around by bigger guards last year and Calipari has a preference for bigger guards. I hope however he is able to start and think he gets a good shot at the starting position. If I am an...

    So, how does this work?

A situation that no one has seen fit to address in this thread is the possibility that Ulis might not be the starting PG. I could see a starting line up Of Briscoe at PG, Murry at 2G, Muldur or Matthews at SF, Labrisiare at center, and Poythress at PF. Ulis is not a the big type guard...

    Team Swagger

I am somewhat worried about rebounding. This will be Caliparis smallest team while at UK. I expect great guard play but IMO the Cats. are a tad short inside. Depth inside could be a real worry.

Mychal Mulder is a great athlete.

IMO if he can play decent defense he will have a good chance of being a starter IMO even if he doesn't start he will get almost starter minutes. We are talking about an athletic player that can shoot the deep ball that will be competing against Freshmen for playing time.

    Austin Nichols transferring

An insensitive post by a person that has never loved someone deeply and lost them. I understand the situation somewhat having gone through a similar situation while in the USAF. I loved a girl deeply, it didn't work out, and the situation was compounded by the fact that we had to have...

So when is the day of reckoning for Carolina?

The "Carolina Way. Give a holier than thou attitude to the world all the while them being the most flagrant cheaters in the history of college sports. Academics are the heart of secondary education and if yours are a fraud your whole reasons for existing as a major university is a fraud...

Attending Games vs. Watching on TV

If you are a true blue UK fan I would suggest that you must put on your bucket list to attend a UK basketball game at Rupp Arena at least once. It is quite an experience especially if you can get seats in the lower level. The truth is if I have to watch from the upper level I would much...

POLL: Beating Louisville or Final Four

I think this is a stupid poll and IMO the vast majority is going to prefer going to the final four. I like beating UofL but it isn't even in the same ball park as going to the final four. The same goes for any regular season game. The college game has become all about the NCAA tournament...

Attending Games vs. Watching on TV

I love the atmosphere live if I have decent seats but those are hard to come by and I live a good distance away from Lexington. I went several times a year when I lived in Bardstown and Louisville but I have gotten older and just am not Up for the drive from Columbus Indiana and back...
