    That doesn't mean of course that it matters to those coaches who are already finding success someplace else and are doing just fine. Whether or not IU is a true "blueblood" among fan discussions is moot for reasons i listed above.

    IU had two national titles before Knight, so while Knight built a lot of history into IU, there was substantial history already there. IU doesn't have the cache of a UNC, Duke, Kansas, or Kentucky that comes with consistent success in the last 20 years. But, IU still has what those programs have...
