    Their big opening night against Penn St had plenty of empty seats. I was shocked it wasn't sold out. NW still can't draw. Tickets are definitely more expensive. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

    Probably not (Kirk ball). You'd have to look long and hard to find someone more critical of KFz's record against ISU. But that's not the question. It's... is our run game better now than it was then? I'd suggest the answer is yes.

    Nebbie and NW are definitely 1-2 3. We'll find out how good Wisconsin is over the next 2 weeks. 4. Not sure what happened to Minnesota's rush defense last week. They rank a respectable 50th. That said if Purdue can run on 'em , we can. 5. Illinois was overrated, but that one's on the road...

    Yeah, how's that look in retrospect. They lost to the Gophers at home who just got destroyed by Purdue. Good win for sure and Heck played great, but one game is not enough to know how good anybody is.

    It's one game against a weak opponent. Hope Heck continues to play well, he looked great. But let's slow the roll a bit on the crowning ceremony.

    Firing Franklin was a mistake. He was having a rough start last year but won 10 games in each of the previous 3 seasons. He took PSU to the national semi-final in 2024.

    Northwestern has a good club. That said, the stadium (as spectacular as it is) may not provide a big home field advantage. On opening night against Penn St there were plenty of empty seats. I expect Iowa fans to fill a lot of those.

    Lots to love in there. My only extra wish would be ISMoo getting absolutely pummeled rather than a "respectable" loss.

    Holy hell, Purdue rushed for over 300 yards and the Goophs ran for 27?! Even stranger the Goophs only ran 13 rushing plays in the entire game! We should crush the rodents.

    Lester called a great game. Washington's D was so out-of-position on a number of plays.
