Besides Oregon, TCU is the best team I've seen play consistently this year. But really, there's hardly any difference between teams 1 - 10 this year on any given day. And yes the big 12 has 2 of those teams.
Sure hope we play some occasional defense. Even that might be asking too much this first year...unless we see some massive development. I wouldn't mind if we spend 80% of the remaining scholies for this class on defense.
You know there will be a major increase of offensive talent stockpiled quickly. Bigger question is on defense. And the bigger need from what we've witnessed. Hope the new staff will make our D at least competitive.

Might get interesting there....however, the defensive recruits are paramount this year. Thats where we need to totally focus on. Besides of course speed at the skill positions.
It's naive to think ethics play much of a part in recruiting. If president verballed to Baylor because of Monty, and now he's leaving and briles brings in another higher touted qb, seems to me he's fair game...if this scenario is real. I'm sure all of this will play out like it's supposed to...
My point is how do we know whether or not the President kid isn't happy that Stidham is going to Baylor? If he's miffed, he lets others know and then he's fair game...briles or no briles, doesn't matter. Now, if he's happy, then move on.
