    You may be correct on some of your statements but to say Mitchell did not sign a contract is wildly off base. No way the NBA & affiliates would let a kid play without signing a contract. The contract would protect both parties as far a compensation and in the event of an injury.

    Mitchell can play for more than 150 schools next year, just not in the SEC & Big10. The courts can not force a school to give a kid a scholarship and a NIL deal. We (UK) or any school in the SEC or Big10 will have their coach suspended 50% of the season and lose 50% of their basketball budget.

    Time will tell. I don't think a court can overturn any conference rule. You are acting like a court could tell a conference to change schedules and dates of games. I wish Mitchell could play but the odds of him being in Lexington in 2026 is less than zero.

    No one will try to stop the kids or punish the kids but the conference can lower the hammer on the universities of the conference. Will we as a university want to play a player that will end up forfeiting games, losng revenue, and being locked out of conference tournament, or being ineligible...
