    My understanding is that in the 115 year history of the game, the teams have never played overtime. There have only been 9 ties. It is a difficult ending but hats off to both teams for a slug fest that was worthy of a division 1 title game.

    I stand corrected. I didn't think LCA could beat a team of Benedictine's caliber given their poor showings against Woodberry, Bishop McNamara and Avalon. Where has this Bulldog team been all year?

    Benedictine 35-14. I don't think LCA has the firepower to keep up with Benedictine's offense. Benedictine will be playing with a chip on their shoulder and this will be probably the last competitive game the Cadets have as they have already blown out everyone they will face in the playoffs.

    I don't think it really makes sense for the other good privates to consider joining VHSL. First, boarding schools like Episcopal, Woodberry and FUMA etc are prevented from joining under the new rules. Second, lots of the Richmond and Northern Virginia privates already have historical rivalries...

    Benedictine would destroy Sherando and Salem etc. They are huge across their O and D lines. They have multiple skill players with multiple D1 offers including the number 2 ranked player in the state of Virginia, Bracey. If anything, I would compare Benedictine in skill, size and depth to 5...

    Does LCA have a realistic chance of competing with Benedictine given the down year the Bulldogs seem to be having? If LCA doesn't bring their A game, Benedictine should put up at least 40 points on them.
