    They said there’s a possibility of her kidneys requiring medication. They also said there is a chance of brain damage, which they said they’re going to monitor as her levels return to stable levels. If they detect that to be the case, treatment will be stopped.

    If the vet was being honest with us, it’s not that simple. She was so dehydrated that her body basically shut down and was limp when I carried her to the car.

    They’re keeping her for 5-6 days at an ER. They told us they have to slowly get her sodium levels back down to normal otherwise it could put her in shock.
