    school night multi-team competitions

You are correct and almost everyone would agree, but sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate or a kid gets injured delaying the event. All A.D.s are school admin keep this in mind and efforts are made to minimize late weekday events.

    school night multi-team competitions

Also, there is some logistics. In track...county, conference and sectional meets are now most commonly run on Wed or Thurs so Friday and Saturdays can be back of days due to inclement weather. Also, F.A.T. timing is used....throw in the lack of officials in sports and there's your answer...

    Lake Zurich

Well..........99%. The term of "lack of institutional control" really annoys me. I think when that term is used that it implies that those in control, knew about something and didn't do anything. It does fit when talking about Penn St., but not in this case, and there's people on these old...

    The Future of Conferences/Leagues?

Demographics change, athletic programs change and conferences readjust. Happens all of the time and at all levels. No need for districts. Have seen the proposals and they are all bad. Really bad. CPS schools lumped in with Catholic schools. Rivals in different districts. Ruins football...

Pats a Dynasty, who's your fav IHSA Dynasty?

Maine South, Wheaton Warrenville South, Glenbard West, because they coach the kids that live in their district and are always (or were always) a contender. Non boundary schools are just different and I can't really include in this.

    Fox Valley Eliminates Sophomore Football

Other states have been doing it this way for years. Gets juniors playing time, along with your good sophs. Better for the sport. JV games become even more important. Better for the game.

    What if the opposite happened?

No way a public school files a lawsuit over this. Those who think otherwise do not understand how the world works. Not, can't, going to use tax payer money to file a lawsuit against the IHSA. I posted a couple of days ago that the Fenwick elite would try to take legal action, but is that...

    Anyone know anything about Antioch?

Triple Option on Offense. Always solid on defense and special teams. Could make some noise in 6A.

Ok post your IHSA Playoff system gripes here...

    1. 1-32 Seeding has always, always, always been the best. Best chance of eliminating conference opponents playing in round one. 2. 5A-8A play at Northwestern or Soldier Field. 1A-4A play at U of I/NIU

Post those Round 1 times/dates here

Wauconda at Antioch, Friday at 7PM

If CaryGrove gets moved to 7a , cake walk for Prairie ridge in 6a then??

Prairie Ridge loaded and my favorite in 6A....however the field in 6A is deep (like 8A). The first rounds in 6A will be stacked with some great match ups. PR could draw a Lake Forest, St. Viator, Lakes or Montini in round 1. Although all beatable.....not the best 1st round draw. Again....6A...
