    THE OFFICIAL RUTGERS-ILLINOIS PREDICTION THREAD

Illinois made a lineup change vs Ohio St with Morez Johnson joining Ivisic in a "twin towers" lineup. Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn also starts now. Johnson might be the one tasked with guarding Bailey. He struggled early on trying to contain Royal, who was too quick driving to the basket and also...

    The Substitution Signal

A great example of how far ESPN will go to protect their SEC football product.

    White gothics tomorrow!

Good stuff. You are correct that Illinois does not run the isolation offense they used last year with Domask, it's all about ball screens with KJ this season. 5 shooters on the court will spread out opponents to get open 3s or drives to the basket. They'll also post Tomi a bit, he's an excellent...

Terrence Shannon will likely play Sunday

True, but when there's no evidence indicating TSJ did it and there's actual video evidence that Arterio Morris was in the same area where the alleged incident happened (Google him), it doesn't take a huge leap of logic to figure out that this was probably a case of mistaken identity exacerbated...

IL - NostraCatus prediction - you heard it here first

To feel better about myself. It's working. No, I'm baffled that morons like Baz throw stones at other programs. Nobody is without skeletons in their closets. Illinois suspended Shannon and then a federal judge told them they couldn't.

No wonder the NU football facility has so much glass: You're the guy in there throwing rocks, right?

    Reversal of Goaltending Call

Was very surprised it was overturned. Really don't like the aspect of the rule that "you can only review if goal tending is called". So much like the NFL where it's "let the play go in case it's a fumble", the default outcome is pre-determined, it's goal tending or a fumble. And only...

Kinda off topic, Shannon Files Against Illinois

Actually the judge ruled in Shannon's case he does have a right to play and a property interest protected by the 14th amendment. A lesser player not earning NIL or having significant draft prospects probably wouldn't have received the same result.

Terrence Shannon will likely play Sunday

    A) Underwood wants to play him B) The ruling found the UI policy was causing TSJ irreparable harm by not allowing him to play via the suspension and lack of due process. Harming his current (NIL) and future (NBA) earnings. By not playing him and essentially "suspending" him indirectly would go...

Terrence Shannon will likely play Sunday

It kind of does. Unless they want to lose another lawsuit.

    Illinois @ Purdue

Yeah, the Podz stuff is amazing. I'll just say he made a great choice for himself by dropping down a level to Santa Clara where he had the ball in his hands all the time and could showcase himself. Not likely to get that at Illinois or many other high major programs. The problem at Illinois was...
