    I like Australian tawny ports. A good inexpensive one is Whiskers Blake. This summer is Sulmona Italy I got turned on to their local Moltepulciano Abruzzi for a nice red wine

    I’ve had the OTR Old Fashion and their Mai Tai. The OF is made with Knob Creek and is good if you don’t have the time or energy to make your own. I picked up a bottle in a grocery store for about $12. Got 3-4 cocktails out of it, so not badly priced. The MT was OK, but I liked the OF better...

    After 31 years of living in Illinois, two weeks ago we moved to our home in Wyoming. I can relate to the tough decisions about what to take, donate, or junk. I retired after 40.5 years as a university professor so I’m also adjusting to no more students, no more books, no more teachers’ dirty looks.

    Met Franco Harris at a tailgate at Northwestern. Met Joe a couple of times at various alumni events. Had him sign a football for me as a gift for my dad’s 70 birthday.

    6-3 final. Scoring doesn’t seem to be a problem. A couple of fluke scores kept it close. First Dane goal was off a US skate. Second goalie never saw.

    Hope everyone realizes these events are taking place from 3 am to 3 pm. Set your recorder to record all Olympic events. Watch at your leisure and zoom through the commercials. This also frees up your evening since you don’t have to watch the commercials on the NBC recap of the day’s events

    OT - TCM - Bugs Bunny/Looney Tunes

    Every time I hear classical music I am reminded of Bugs Bunny. It was my first exposure to classical music and I learned many of the titles to the works from Bugs. Of course, I also remember what Bugs was doing to the tune.
