    4 a West seedings and 1st round games

    I believe that a bye week is really only an advantage if a team is beat up or maybe coming off a loss.. There is something to be said for keeping the momentum going. That said, the obvious advantage of having to play one less game to get to a championship is nice.

    That Millbrook/JW game will be a good one. I just hope that the Millbrook folks show up to cheer for their team! The Colonels faithful will certainly be there en force!

    ...and I don't think they go winless this year. I hope Skyline has put last week's stunning last-play victory away and did the work this week!

    I agree that they looked awful against Sherando (the only Handley game I've seen this year); however, I was amazed that they didn't give up or start doing stupid things out of frustration. It has to be tough for those kids who all grew up watching the area schools beat up on each other and now...

    i know that GameDay often does some highlights from local high school games. I wonder if they'll be out at the Harrisonburg/Fort Defiance game tonight.

    It's hard to measure the rivalry factor. I think that came into play in the Sherando/JW game. Wood was fired up and their fans were ready to go. I don't want to take anything away from Wood...they played well and if not for a couple of turnovers, the game could have had a very different outcome...

    Roma is excellent, but probably better for after-game. You are better off getting to the lot and tailgating. There will be plenty of that going on!
