Clawson is destined for much better things than the RU head coaching job, but Wake Forest is not a “way bettter job.” If Clawson could turn around RU, the NYC media would fall in love with him and he would make far more money than anyone in Winston-Salem could even dream of.
Grab a young, successful, energetic coach like Candle, surround him with NJ types like the Camps, and you’ve got a winning formula. We could do far, far worse.
