I think unless Im forgetting someone that Damien Anderson 1997 - Northwestern and Brady Wilkins 1998 - Missouri were the last 2 Division I football players for the Cats. Tony Vercelli and Tanner Roark but ended up at Big Ten Schools for baseball. Great Coaching staff and stability.
I dont think it has probably ever happened. In unrelated story 30 years ago saw Huntley squeeze out a 13-12 win over Martinsville in week 2 of the 1996 season. Huntley had 435 students that year and Martinsville had 335. Fast forward 30 years and Huntley has boomed to over 2700 Students and...
Great question and not even sure what the right answer is. Lisle were not exactly world beaters last year but for the reasons you provided you would still like to think they are the favorite. Lena lost a couple of Stud RBs both their Thunder and their Lightning. They do have 3 really good...
Nope he didnt May graduated and so did Calloway. Those two had way more snaps from the RB spot in their pistol offense then Lee who played a majority of his snaps from the slot.
Check your facts. The Lee brothers are outstanding athletes but means very little if they cant win the battle up front. They def arent going to expose Wilmington through the air. Greg Youngblood is an outstanding man and coach but its asking alot from a team that lost so much from last year...
Nothing Personal I just dont think is top 10 Class 3A team. They lost QB, Top 2 Backs and Top 2 WR. Unless their Offensive Line had a major offseason I think Wilmo will handle them up up front. Could be wrong though.
Carlinville will be hosting Clifton Central on Saturday Sept 26th in place of Litchfield. I think Morrison and Gillespie might be talking about a game as well week 1.
Forgive me if someone has already posted about this but I heard that the Cornjerkers of Hoopeston have agreed to travel to Lombard Montini for a week 1 showdown.
Easy Answer Easy Scheduling for AD's. They were looking for ten team conference to accompish this. Seneca was in tough spot because there were basically pushed out of the VVC by those Southern Schools. They attempted to piece together a conference but I think a few left for other options and...
While he is certainly young enough to last that long I was told this winter its somewhere in that 3-5 year range. 3 years will get him to 35 years at Wilmington and already 4 State titles and will hit 300 wins this year. I guess 10 is possible if he wants to make a run at 400 wins something...
Confirmed yesterday was Reents finally day as Assistant Principal at Wilmington. Dont know how many years he will continue to coach football but Id assume the end will be sooner than later. Ill enjoy what years we do have left with Jeff and assume his long time assistants Southall and Bolser...
