Do we think Duke goes and gets a wing transfer? Or roll with what they got. I wouldn’t mind some experience on the wing in case some of the young guys aren’t as ready as we hope (sarr or khamenia).
I loved Mal in his year with Duke but he was extremely raw. Barring injury he will be a great nba player but he had a lot of holes this season. He is a top 10 pick because of what he will eventually be and not on what he currently is.
We will miss his size for the pick and roll alley oops for...
Interesting. This has been something fandoms have pointed out even in the Roy era but now interesting to see it might have caught on with current players/recruits.
I would like to see another big but I think it is highly likely the player would mostly be an emergency player that is willing to just play when have to. I am thinking a Theo john or young type at best. Plus boozer can play the big position if injuries and foul trouble occur. Not ideal probably...
Things looked a lot worse this time last year. Plus we didn’t expect kneuppel to be as good as he was. Also we didn’t realize how good last years team was until that last month or so.
Not to sound egotistical but Duke will get some good players. Players want to play at duke (see guys like...
I read somewhere that he wants to be a point/lead guard and UNC is giving that opportunity. He was an efficient scorer this year. But UNC style of play in the past has always worked better with a pure PG
I felt like the officiating was pretty good up until final 5 minutes or so. They were being consistent and allowing the teams to play. You can’t make that call on cooper when you allow holds on inbounds or over the back all game on both sides.
But again Duke lost because they lost their rhythm...
I started watching less the last 10 to 15 years because of one n done. And it was obvious K could not get most of them to be invested. I really liked this teams make up since scheyer obviously knew experience mattered more and the freshmen were more mature than most. The portal, nil, and super...
Scheyer is an amazing coach. This team was amazing all year and brought me back to early k teams that I grew up with (late 80 early 90s). Tough on defense. Played great team basketball on offense. Made adjustments in game to put his players in great positions. Duke wins against Houston 4 out of...
You do realize having stud freshmen has never been the pathway to winning championships for anyone. This team had more balance but once you get in the final 16 anything can happen. If it was strictly based on talent dean smith would have won like 10 championships.
Yep. Can’t lose that lead. Refs were terrible too but still can’t lose that lead. Ignoring holds on Houston on inbounds but calling touch fouls on drives in the final two minutes just doesn’t look good on that crew
Is the Andrew Slater that NCSU just hired or is hiring as GM the same scouting analyst that used to write for Duke almost a decade ago? I think he supported mark watson at one point before going more national. I noticed his bio said he was a national scouting analyst before working for the okc...
