    Only if we hire someone who can have us prepared to play situational baseball. It's been a long time since we've had a team like that and every team in the supers are better at it than we are... and it ain't even close.

    We should be very careful considering any coach for any sport coming out of Coastal. Clearly that school recruits itself more so than most.... not a lot to dislike for a young player.

    I hear ya and you may be right. My concern is more optics than anything else if he's hired. Like the board and AD makes a lazy hire and can wash their hands of it. Kinda feel like he'll be behind the eight ball right off the bat so to speak but if he's the coach, so be it. I want to win too.

    It was my understanding that Lee had his hands on in some form... hitting. Don't know if he was designated the hitting coach prior to taking the HC job but he at least played a role in helping the hitting cause. If I'm wrong, someone correct me. If I'm right, I don't see how anyone can defend...

    We've fielded the ball poorly at least four times so far and the third inning is not over in this tournament. You can certainly make the case either way.

    Guy on the mound for Tenn is getting his second start of the season in the SEC tournament. Tough pill to swallow for sure.

    Not play guys that quit on him? I doubt the bench has a quitter on it. Now I'm not saying the guys quit, maybe they did. The OP was saying they clearly quit and in the same sentence wonders what changes Lee should make next year. I'm simply saying If the team quit (and a lot of people think so)...

    If the team indeed quit on him, and he made very little changes where just about everyone kept their spots, don't see how you keep the coach. I truely dont.

    I'm actually a little relieved to hear he had nothing to do with recruiting the last few years so there is that. Still though, we should not be considering anyone associated with the worse team in Gamecock history imo.

    I could live with a lack of little power if we had traded it off for something like speed but we didn't even have that. Not sure what the goal was here when we put this team together. You'd think with the portal, we'd have a plan.
