I feel badly about my JQ comments now

It is hard for me to hold it against him because I probably would have taken the same chance. It didn't work out but I thought it was a reasonable risk that he'd be able to return from the injury, ramp up, and help us come crunch time. We needed the upside swing, it wasn't like we were turning...

Quaintance likeky to miss rookie NBA season after he has another knee surgery

When did you complete medical school and when did you review his imaging records to arrive at your humble opinion? Why are your credentials at a higher level than all the other doctors you part ways with in assessing the severity of the injury and how it reacted to game action?

Why do Pope products really seem to struggle in the NBA

Goofy at best, even accounting for an out of context nugget of truth in a turd pile. You are whining about how rookie second picks (that were not even on the radar when we got them) are functioning like 2nd round picks and one of them hadn't even played yet and turned out that he had a fair...

Finish the sentence. If Mark Pope mass substitutes after the first 5 minutes of play this year I'm going to.....

Depends on what was happening that first five minutes. On average not something that I fret much about early in the year though. I'm open to some experimenting especially against the cannon fodder portions of the schedule.

Do you feel a connection to modern players?

About the same as ever as far as interest in the program and being locked in for games but there is an adjustment for age in the relationship with players, coaches, and administration. The view is way different as a little kid looking up and dreaming and remembering when the current kids dads...

Mason Williams (the guy some of you said will not play)

I don't comprehend a reasonable person watching this kid play and coming away feeling contributing as a solid back up is between loopy and overly optimistic. He seems very solid as a natural point with room to grow to me. Respectable handle for his age and experience, good shooter, doesn't...

Who didn't see this coming? LOL

In my observation, the folks that scream NEPOBABY the loudest don't so much as raise a brow when they or theirs or someone they consider theirs skips the line. "Merit based" is a delusional lie in this world, it pretty much only applies to generally sports, lower end work, and the arts and then...

Give me 1 player you wished stayed, 1 that will be a stud &1 that will be a dud.

Keep Chandler Stud Wilkens Dud Kam is in danger of slipping behind his needed development curve.

    BB: 2027 Recruiting

Hence you didn't sign their offer sheet but so what? Saunders' wife said no, who else did you want?

Blast from the past Cameron Mills recruitment

I was there...UGH. Great effort from Mills all for naught. One of my few home losses.

    Collin Chandler Explains BYU Transfer

I disagree and most would. He made serious strides over his time here from where he started (not where he left off from High School, that guy got buried under two years of disuse). I'm not saying he was transformed into Jordan or even Stockton. He was a better Collin Chandler than we received...

    The 1-2-2 Pitino press

Few teams are that specific flavor of bad anymore either though. It more seems like to me bad teams today tend to have no effective size and/or athleticism but still find okay guards and try to get by with them and maybe a wing type they have jeweled up a little and probably have to play them...

    The 1-2-2 Pitino press

Pitino was already starting to rely less on pressing even before he left. It is a situational tool these decades later. Ask Pitino. During Cal's time we would generally feast on any such efforts and I doubt he even intalled press breakers. The typical distribution of skills on the floor is...
