Offense produced again last night, as Belly stayed hot and Jones continues to cement his spot in the postseason lineup. Still, I HATE the day off for Judge after the HR on Monday. I’m sure it’s about “rest” and getting him fully back from the injury…Judge is used to playing everyday and he’s...

Meanwhile…our offense sucks so bad. We just let the Twins score 2 on us in the 6th to take the lead…and it might as well be 5 runs. We have guys who have reputations but such little production. It’s so frustrating.

Let metics that I think support Pedro’s season being superior are ERA+, WAR and WHIP. Also worth noting that teams averaged 3.42 runs per game in the 1968 season…and teams averaged 5.14 runs per game in 2000.

You named some great pitchers. None of them were as dominant as Pedro was in 2000, in my opinion. It’s a great discussion that we can have. I completely value your insight. We can go down the “chicken, egg” argument on Gibson and the mound…but I do think you need to remember that the mound...

Really tough to justify a starting pitcher as MVP in the current MLB universe. They just don’t pitch as much as they used to. Cam won’t even log 200 IP this season. Both Clemens and Verlander threw over 250 innings in their MVP seasons. However, Cam’s ERA+ is off the charts at 216…well above...

Agree on all counts. Hopefully we can keep getting Goldy and Ramos and Jazz ABs…talk about some serious bench options in the postseason if they stay sharp.

The two walks by Blackburn and the two walks by Hedrick were maddening. We let the Mets create and maintain game pressure the last three innings because of those walks…and then we let them completely save their bullpen by not knocking Weisenburger around over the last three innings. Mets saved...

And TB walked into tonight. Really want to be within two games of them when they arrive in the Bronx.

Mets have been playing well since their call-ups and manager change. We really could use a sweep. It I know that winning the series 2 to 1 is probably the most likely outcome. Mets are starting three rookies against us? I think that’s what I read.

Good catch. I was thinking about his initial draft spot out of high school. You are right about 2020.

Tip of the cap to Volpe. What he did…the roller coaster and crashing at the major league level and being sent down and probably being at a crossroads and showing the intestinal fortitude to man up and work even harder to get back…beyond impressive. And it’s not lost on me that right now...

Great business as usual win last night. Warren pitched well. We rested Headrick and Bednar. Let’s get the sweep nailed down today. I can’t believe TB may sweep the Braves on the road. Those dudes just do not lose. Maddening.

Why Can’t We Hit Baseballs? Colorado is TERRIBLE! A minus -140 run differential. 35 games under .500. Would it kill our guys to punish a team like this at home?

Man…I hope adding Judge back in springboards this offense. We face a righty tonight…so the 1B / DH decision is pretty simple with Garcia / Rice. But I am still interested in the lineup when we face a LH starter. Do you think Boone keeps going with Goldie at 1B and DHs Rice? That’s the route...
