    Mattingly re-signs in Philly. I hope it goes well for him. He deserved the job…but it definitely feels like management doesn’t really want him there.

    The free agent market this offseason is sooooooo bad. There really isn’t any game-changing talent at any of our positions of need.

    Mattingly won’t be in Philly next year. I’d kill to have him in NY. But until the analytics take a back seat…it may not matter.

    If we get to Game 5 then it should be ace vs. ace and I think no n it is a slight TB lens but anything can happen in a win or go home game for both sides…

    Volpe and Cabby into the lineup. I like that. Speed and energy. I get the R/R aspect of it…but screw it. Now, Grisham leading off…ugh.

    We have wasted the best collection of starting pitching this season that I’ve actually ever seen the Yanks have. The additions weren’t rocket science…and yet we didn’t add them. Out bullpen pitched admirably, but it’s a bunch of bargain bin pieces who aren’t dominant and don’t truly shorten...

    And some of this is on Judge. He needs to figure out how to be healthy. He can’t play a full season every other year. His inability to get back after his first injury this season killed the offense.

    Don’t blame you. And guess what? TB will miss the playoffs next year. But Boston or Baltimore will have a year. We have this great formula of being above average every year but never elite. Leads to a lot of ALDS and maybe ALCS exits.

    Exactly. They are a team that puts the ball in play. If we could actually play defense, then this game would be much closer. I want McMahon and Jazz out of the lineup and off the opening day roster next season. Done with both of them.

    Dude…they got ONE oppo hard ground ball single. Cam has got plenty. We hit the ball much harder than they did in the first. But we also decide to play like an 8U rec team in the field.

    Another RHP, do I assume lineup will stay the same. It worth noting that Rosario has a much higher average and SLG than McMahon does against RHP.
