    Did you know...?

Daniel Morgan the middle school that feeds Handley had a football team for the first time in many years and went undefeated this past year. I expect Handley to be back to normal in 2-3 years.

    C-35 and 36 Region 2A East matchups....Boys

Central shoots a ton of threes and against Clarke regrettably they made most of them. They made 17 in game one and 13 in game two. They are not huge but rebound fairly well. Central played mostly a man d but mixed in a half court trap as well.

    Appomattox questions!?

Mount Union is the 12 time National Champion at the D3 level. Clarke County sent a baseball player to Wise last year and everything I have heard is positive. Shepherd is a dominant D2 team that is less than 30 miles away from the Winchester/Frederick County area but they only have 2 local kids...

    Appomattox prediction for the year

Clarke County had two kids who played last year decide to swim this year and one other player quit after the second game. They all would have played minutes however all three are football first players

    Strasburg

The rumors are rampant and I have heard both the innocent that is blown out of proportion to the horrific. The only thing to do is to let the investigation take it's course. However this is a situation that will probably take years to recover from.

    2A All State Team

Appomattox beat Clarke and to hear everybody talk Richlands would have as well. Who are your other three teams that would have beaten Clarke because Union certainly wasn't one and Union beat Richlands. I would be willing to be ten different coaches would have ten different lists except for the...

    BOYS: Bull Run Games Tonight

Clarke is playing at a very slow pace which is causing games to get any kind of rhythm. Monroe is athletic and is 8-3 on the year now but they really should have lost last night. Winning teams find a way to do just that. I would bet that in 8 games Clarke has given up 50 three pointers while...

    BOYS: Bull Run Games Tonight

Clarke County actually had two chances to tie the game in last 30 seconds. One shot when they were down 2 went in and out and when they were down three a kid from Monroe came out of nowhere to block the 3 point shot. The game was close the whole time with numerous lead changes.

BOYS: Central (Woodstock) 95, Clarke County 52

Yeah they probably only missed 5-8 and made those 17. They hit the first seven three pointers they shot

Congrats to Appomattox on your state championship !

Just for discussion for those who have seen other divisions. How do you think Appomattox would have done against the 3a and 4a champs?

    Madison Co. improves to 6-0...

Madison was very impressive with their ball movement and shooting. Without seeing the stats I would bet they were at least 6-10 from 3 point land. This was Clarke's first game of the year and the four football players were rusty in addition to only having two practices as a full team.

    Appomattox vs Clarke

One of my first rules in playing backyard football is no running which means I like the pass as much as anybody. With that being said seeing Clarkes lineman blocking 30 and 40 yards downfield is a thing of beauty. Clarke County has five ball carriers averaging over seven yards a carry. It should...
