    Fire Pikiell. Hire Pitino.

would Pitino be the oldest hoops coach ever hired? Other coaches in their 70s seem to all have been at a school for a long time.

Updated KenPom Projections: Last Place in B1G, 2-18 in B1G, 8-23 overall

it either means you don't understand the site, or you don't understand simple math. Either one is a bad look.

Updated KenPom Projections: Last Place in B1G, 2-18 in B1G, 8-23 overall

I find it difficult to believe someone could pay for a kenpom subscription for years and not be smart enough to notice how it actually works.

    Texas transfers

most coaches at mid-majors don't actually view their jobs as their ultimate career goal. Many of them are using it as a stepping stone to try to get a better job at a bigger school. That hasn't really changed at any point recently.

    Some positives

Michigan averaged 5 yards per play against Wisconsin because they threw the ball for 8.4 YPA. The post I replied to was wondering what Michigan's offense would do against a great run defense that forced them to throw and if that would expose them. Wisconsin leads the nation in rushing defense...

    Some positives

Wisconsin has one of the best rushing defenses in the country this season and Michigan moved the ball well on them.

    An Honest Look at Recruiting

I understand what you are saying, I just think it doesn't matter. HS hoops players have been seen in literally hundreds of games with elite teammates against elite opponents. They do AAU type stuff for years and years. And now there are elite HS teams that travel the country playing other...

    An Honest Look at Recruiting

I think the opposite is true. Basketball recruiting at the highest level is much more of a sure thing than in football. For basketball, coaches can watch these kids compete against the other best players in their class from like 8th grade on up through 4 years of HS. In football, most great...

A look into Rutgers' offense & defense

to be fair he's just a kid getting paid to write this particular column this year. The website is owned by Brian Cook and is one of the most heavily visited CFB blogs of the last 15 ish years. He is dealing with personal issues and has stepped back this year while others from the site are...

A look into Rutgers' offense & defense

The FFFF segment of MGoBlog is merely for a Michigan fan to have some understanding of the opponent they are facing in the upcoming game. They pick a single game from the season and watch and chart it in it's entirety to try to see what Michigan might expect to be facing. Early in the season...

If we make that kick Harbaugh probably gets fired

he wasn't even on the hot seat at 2-4 this offseason, definitely wasn't getting canned at 1-5. Last season was a total write off for him with many starters sitting out the season and/or with season ending injuries

    -19 Michigan Point Spread

Michigan was -16.5 vs WMU and beat them by 33 Michigan was -6.5 vs Washington and beat them by 21 Michigan was -27.5 vs NIU and beat them by 53 Seems both teams have been significantly outperforming preseason prognostications

Has Michigan Improved More Than Rutgers Since Last Year?

they beat Penn State 49-10 that year and it could have been worse

Has Michigan Improved More Than Rutgers Since Last Year?

Michigan's base set is 11 personnel (1 TE and 1 RB, 3 WRs). They will occasionally go 2 TEs, but not a ton and most often in short yardage situations.

Has Michigan Improved More Than Rutgers Since Last Year?

Michigan is ranked because they have performed very well, nothing to do with the name on the jersey. Bill Connelly tweeted out today that if you remove SP+ preseason predictions, Michigan would rank #1 nationally right now (simply based on current performance). But of course those preseason...
