    Pitino- There are no more Blue Bloods

    The schools with the deepest financial pockets and a great head coach are the new blue bloods. That's what was so frustrating with this years roaster. 22 Million dollars should buy you a contender but the money was horribly mismanaged.

    IMO Garrison is great as a backup center. I thought he progressed nicely this year. He was a much better player at the end of the year than the beginning. You're unlikely to get a better backup in the portal.

    I'm also iffy on Chandler as the starting 2 guard. Pros with Chandler is he's athletic and a good shooter. The Cons are his inability to get down hill and drive the ball.

    Since we have no shooters on the team I would change the offense mid season and go to a post vs a perimeter offense. Shorten the rotation to 8 guys and only allow Noah, Chandler the green light to pull up from three with more than 10 seconds on the clock.

    The style of play doesn't fit the personnel

    This team can't shoot, and Pope's offense is based on shooters. Pope needs to go to a dribble drive offense. This roster was put together horribly.

    Oh how I longed for the Full Court Press to return after Pitino left. Watching a few BYU games I noticed they pressed in certain situations but that's about it, no 40 minutes of hell like we had under Pitino.
