Could we be the best team in America?

To quote the late Lonnie Demaree, you are what your record says you are. He would have loved this football season. RIP.

    Horrendous recruiting

I was getting tired of the 1 and dones. Here for a few months then gone. I like that some players are actually for 2 or 3 years. Weren't we getting beat by teams with veterans in the tourney under Cal? Wasn't anyone else tired of that? I'm good with the 4 star players who will stick around for a...

    Popebros........

I see some good individual pieces of the puzzle. Pope needs to get to work putting the puzzle together. He has his hands full, but it can be done.

    Popebros........

I don't know about you all, but I saw a different team late in the game the other night. There's hope. Even the '96 team took a few games to sort things out, and Pitino had to figure out who our point guard would eventually be. It turned out to be Epps. Stead hand, good shooter and passer...

    Zoom deleted his Instagram

Pope needs to find ways for Zoom to be effective on the court. That's his job. Coach him up. This isn't Cal and rolling out the basketballs. Time to coach the kids up, or get out. Stein shows the importance of great coaching, finding ways for kids to to be successful. Pope needs to do that.

    Zoom deleted his Instagram

Finally saw a bit of passing to the interior in OT last night. Bigs need to get open to take the pass, and guards need to look and see the whole court rather than looking down or directly in front of them. That's on Pope. I saw plenty of times in fact most of the time in the first three games...

Kentucky lands prediction for 7'5 Center Cherif Milligo

I think part of the reason is bad coaching. The kids are really tall so the coach puts him down low, by the basket. Doesn't let the rest of his game develop, including ball handling. Looks like his coaches have developed these other areas of his game. I remember the talk about AD was he was a...

    Pelphrey's role: player development.

Yeah, it's shocking to hear head coaches say they have little time for individual player development. I think they are limited to a certain number of practice hours, and still are technically "student athletes". I hope someone over there can help the guys realize whatever potential they have...

SOT: All is Not Well For Cutter Boley at ASU

We've seen this year especiallly how important coaching is, to get the best out of the players. ASU coach just might not be that good. If the player fails, is that on the player or the coach or some combination? Saying "no comment" shows the coach is not smart enough to say anything regarding...

Kentucky lands prediction for 7'5 Center Cherif Milligo

Nice to see him leading the fast break and dishing out assists. He could push our guys for playing time at the point.

Kentucky lands prediction for 7'5 Center Cherif Milligo

Part of that is on the coaches. It's their job to find creative ways to make these guys successful. If you recruit a guy and he does nothing, that's at least partly on the coach.

Kentucky lands prediction for 7'5 Center Cherif Milligo

Just watched some of his game film. He does it all, including handling the ball well.

Basketball lineup and possibilities for playing time

Zoom's assets are not a driver/penetrator. No shame in that, a point guard who can play within his abilities and protect the ball and find the open man is just as if no more importatnt. Pope need to utilize him for shooting and especially to get the bigs some pick and rolls and back door cuts...

How was the crowd last night?

Maybe they shouldn't be asking $100+ on stubhub for uppers all week.

    McBride at the 5

He need to be bit more agressive on the boards and finishing around the basket. He's still too soft, but does have some post moves.
