Can't say this news is surprising considering the track record, but man, it still stinks to hear. Sammy had all the talent and potential in the world to be a 4 time AA here.
Can't speak for anyone else, but it seems to be a valid area of concern or discussion to point out it would be great to see Sammy finish the entire season. Whether he is or is not committed to the program, that's not really something I can speak on nor was I questioning. Kid has too much talent...
As someone who absolutely loved Alvarez coming out of high school and is still very high on his ability, I have to agree on this. Two consecutive seasons ending the way they have has been a major bummer. Needs to break that streak and get after it! Big prove it year for him.
If we can get to a place where the mere thought of landing Duke wasn’t a complete pipe dream that would be sweet. Or any bonified out of state blue chip prospect for that matter.

Genuinely curious as to which disparaging comments you are referring to. If giving Poz the benfit of doubt is deemed to be "high horse".....saddle up cowboy.
I'm comfortable having a little faith instead instead of speculating the kid is done with college wrestling based on some sixth sense. If...
The speed at which folks have chewed up Poz and spit him out is incredible. Aside from the speculation he has a severe case of H.E.W., can't help but notice the timing of his precipitous down-ward trend in performance coincides perfectly with the injury sustained against MSU.
The simplest answer is we don't know it would address or accomplish the stated goal of avoiding Brooks. We're assuming Brooks wrestles straight through his full eligibility w/o taking a year off. There's a not insignificant chance Brooks qualifies for and takes an Olympic redshirt for the 2024...
Yeah for sure. I just dont think the reason would be because of an inability to beat one person, especially when you are talking about kids in junior high/high school. There's usually a myriad of reasons and factors that go into a decision like that.
