Cam Matthews. Favorite Bulldog Basketball Player Ever.

I also think Cam's place in MSU history, as it relates to Bulldog lore, has to be weighed against the NIL era that he is playing in. The others mentioned didn't have that as a distraction to be disloyal to State. I think Cam's loyalty, his heart, and 1000% motor are generational stuff.

Cam Matthews. Favorite Bulldog Basketball Player Ever.

Judged by his numbers alone, he is most assuredly deserving. Just a whole different era to be able to compare to for me. I might need more than 4 spots for my Rushmore?

Cam Matthews. Favorite Bulldog Basketball Player Ever.

I've said on another forum that Cam Matthews has solidified a place on my personal Mt. Rushmore of MSU sports. I go back to 1978 when i was 8 years old. Would bet in that time that I've laid my eyes or at least my ears on 95% of all MSU contests in any of the big three sports. Cam's performance...

    Adkerson On field presentation

Did anyone else find this presentation to be hilarious? Ol Richard didn’t give a crap about his special commemorative basketball. He chunked that sucker up in the air three times. I thought next he would punt it across the field but Selmon wouldn’t give it back to him !! He also left Keenum...

Just so you don't forget what we had..........

IMHO, the '21 NCAA pitching performance of Bednar is the single greatest athletic achievement in Mississippi State sports history.

    It was an interesting visit.

Absolutely Rooker deserves credit also. 1 of only 2 SEC triple crown winners gets you that. Jake probably drew from him in turn. I do think a winning attitude grows from year to year and players learn and grow form being exposed to fellow players. I'm not saying Jake was THE reason for the ship...

    It was an interesting visit.

Jake might have been 2 years gone but many of the players that played with him were still there. There is no way you can say TA and Rowdy didn't inherit some of the will to win that the 18-19 teams had. Now we are also talking about TA who probably goes down in my book as the MSU baseball goat...

    It was an interesting visit.

I'd go further to say that his total performance in the CWS as a whole is probably the greatest athletic performance in MSU history. Or at least his Texas performance and then the short rest gem for the title.

    It was an interesting visit.

Late season, outside of Bednar, Hootie, and PJ, we had no starter. ZERO. Macleod, Stinnet, Fristoe were absolute head cases who fell apart late and simply couldn't throw a strike under any circumstance. That has to be remembered. If not for Sims and the other three already mentioned, our...
