Dawg fans of a certain age...

What really sucks is that he’s only 2 years older than me.

    8-25-22 Josh Raggio 2.0

I’ve known Josh and his dad for years and they are great people and good Bulldogs. Go by his place in Raymond if you get the chance.

    Corky Palmer

He had a stroke a couple of years ago and never recovered. Great coach and a good guy. R.I.P.

What's the first MSU athletic event you remember attending?...

1973 football vs. Florida in Jackson. My 18th birthday. I don’t remember who the FL QB was but they had Carlos Alvarez, all American WR and we broke his leg.

    Well 17

I’d like to think that OU can come back like we did last year, but I got a bad feeling about those confederate bastards. We pissed off the deceased indigenous people and it’s payback time.

    Jimmy Buffet - MSU

A bunch of us went from State to Oxford for a Dixie Week concert in 1976. Buffett was the opener for Jerry Jeff Walker. Only indoor concert I’ve been to where you could bring your beer cooler in!

Question for the board that was in a group text the other day...

My cousin and his wife are both MSU grads. He recently retired after working in research at LSU for 40+ years. I tease them when State and LSU play about who are you rooting for. His wife told me that when it comes to alma mater vs paycheck, paycheck wins every time!

    OT: Bardstown, KY Distillery Tours

Heaven Hill, by all means. Great facility and a good tasting menu. Makers is a beautiful place. Grab lunch at that little dive bar in the little town of Loretto. We did Four Roses and enjoyed the tasting but didn’t enjoy the tour so much. Could be it was our third distillery and if you’ve...

    OT Chicago Wrigley Field

I haven’t been to Wrigley since 1999 so I can’t give recommendations on lodging or food, but I can tell you it’s an experience you won’t forget. The atmosphere is unreal. We were there the year after the Sosa/McGuire HR race in the RF bleachers. Sosa threw a warmup ball into the stands and my...

Many of you probably read brother Bobby's stuff...

I got to know Bobby through MBN barbecue and his contest at the Rez. He and I traveled to several contests together and I always looked forward to his stories. He was a good man and a good friend. I will miss him.
