Checking in on Air Noland: victim of the system?

You seem to have a love affair with Dabo even though he was the biggest beneficiary of NIL before it was allowed. He just doesn't want anyone else to have it since it lost him his advantage.

    That line must be erroneous

    Kiffin is just Spurrier 2.0

Dabo did it!!!! Inject this into my veins!

I'm camp 3: this crap needs to be stopped but it's hard to take Dabo seriously about rules being broken when everyone with 2 brain cells left to rub together knows the only reason he won up there is by paying the heck out of recruits. He lost that recruiting advantage when NIL came about and...

    It's Impressive

And he planned to stay, Ole Miss wouldn't let him.

    It's Impressive

So you're basically saying you would never take another job then? Nobody is going to wait for a coach when there's only one transfer window and it opened January 2nd.

    So, Paris is done.

Because for the last 20 years medical schools (and all colleges in general) have cared more about what boxes you check on your applications than whether you're qualified.

SC vs Clemson in the OC search....

So we pay top 20 money for our coaches that no one else wants yet we're not paying enough in your mind? There are quite a lot of coaches better than Beamer making less money. And literally 100s of OCs better than Shula that made less. We overpay for what we get if anything.

SC vs Clemson in the OC search....

Point 3 is laughable. Beamer is the 20th highest paid coach in all of college and Shula was in that range for OC at $1.1 million. I could only find the top 10 on OCs and #10 was at $1.4 million.

Are our standards too high, given we live in the SEC?

We paid a coach $8 million to win 4 games in year 5 and half the fans are still defending him. Our standards aren't nearly high enough.

    It just doesn't matter

VT isn't putting $200 million into NIL. Their school is increasing the athletics department budget by $229 million over the next 4 years. This will get them to $190.1 million in 2026-27, while we spent $183.6 million in 2024. I don't have future figures for us but it's easy to estimate our...

    It just doesn't matter

This excuse gets weaker every year when teams like Indiana can make the playoff in a new coach's first two years. Plus our NIL is solid. The going rate for a top 25 team is now running around $20 million and according to Garnet Trust people we're "competetive" in that arena. As another stated...

As far as I can tell from X, the only group of people who think we should retain Beamer is our fans

We're paying a guy who requires training wheels $8 million. We have plenty of money to get a big coach.

I truly thought Kurt Roper was the bottom...

I'm sure I'll get laughed at but I think Roper was hamstrung with no QB and by having Muschamp as his HC. He wasn't good by any means but I think he was on par with Loggains and better than Satterfield and Shula. He currently has NC State 29th in total offense at 438.6 YPG and 43rd in scoring...

From On3: Booger McFarland calls out South Carolina for late-game decision

We burned up one for a failed 2pt try. Kick the PAT there and we would've been up 9 and would've won.
