    We old school guys have to adjust the way we view pimping homers. The walking start doesn’t bother me anymore. If a guy gets every bit of one, he probably deserves to get to admire it.     Mercer’s soph C-1B Eli Stephens is a hitter. Don’t know if he’s draft eligible but I hope he’s on our transfer radar. 19 HR .380 BA OPS >1.2 6’2” 215#

    The leg lift is pronounced. Don’t know if that’s something Tigers got him on or if it’s been added since the Snakes picked him up, but if he can keep his head still and get that front foot down in time, it might unlock something for him. I hope so, he’s about 26 now.

    Seems like we got two or three characters on the board who like to stir things up. It was an ugly loss that zeroed in on a couple of our larger flaws. No doubt on that. But think Hull might have taken the hard luck at bats to the field with him. He’d normally get that long drive 19 of 20 times...
