    He will be more than good. Was definitely raw, but not many ninth grade qb's in the nation could have performed much better on the 6A level.

    But I've always heard Demarini bats don't last as long as other brands, but they are the best performing bats. They supposedly crack and get dead spots a lot quicker. They are pricy too. Do college teams even pay for their bats if they're sponsored by that company?

    This is why I like Stratton. If he gives us a complete game or close to it, we have all hands on deck for the rest of the regional. Plus, if we do win game one, Woodruff or Graveman can pitch loose without as much pressure. You never know, what if UAB beats FSU tomorrow. That happened last year...

    I played for him at Meridian High 2000-2003. He was our top assistant. He was a better coach then than Vince Mclemore. We lost in south state all 3 years, but me and other teammates have always said we would have at least made state once and probably won it once with Shay as our head coach...
