    Recruiting….

So now that Matt O’Neill is training at KD how much does that hurt our odds of getting him

    Honest Question about Jordan Williams

Why are we arguing the legality of a kid who has had problems in the past passing out **** faced in the drivers seat of his running vehicle with an open container. Feel like the discussion should be if he should still be on the team, not what he’ll be charged with.

I don’t think there’s a team in the country that Sammy Sanchez wouldn’t start on as a freshman

FLO HS Rankings - Northern Iowa has 2 in the top 10 P4P...

I’ve seen speculation that Ohio state will be in the mix for him, is there something that makes you think he would stick to one of us, okst, and Penn st?

FLO HS Rankings - Northern Iowa has 2 in the top 10 P4P...

Getting Sanchez would be amazing, it just feels like we have guys coming in at those light weights and a lot of our targets in 28 will stay in that range. With Sean Kenny, Tovar was already mentioned but also Karenbauer (u17 world team member) his sister currently competes at Iowa in gymnastics

FLO HS Rankings - Northern Iowa has 2 in the top 10 P4P...

I’d be shocked if we got Sanchez or Dube. I think our 28 class will be Kenny, Bachmann, O’Neill?, and maybe a couple lower ranked guys.

What about Mario Hutcherson, I know he’s been to some camps in Iowa City, but I get the feeling he’ll be a PSU kid

    Recruiting….

Since this is a recruiting thread, do we have any thoughts on who else to look for in the 2028 class? We’re off to a great start with Bachmann and Kenny, but who else should we be looking at? I know Matty O’Neil was thrown out there already. Idk how Sammy Sanchez would fit into the class but you...

    Recruiting….

Willie just said both Bachmanns are going up a weight this year, Freddy 144 and Joey 175. With Freddy going to 144 maybe Tom just thought they had too much money tied up in those middle weights and needed to cut one loose.

    Honest Question about Jordan Williams

Nate Jesuroga joined the Navy because he was burnt out of wrestling. I’m not sure he belongs on this list.

NEWS: 2027 pledge Sonny Amato announces decommitment

But why did it need to be made in the first place? It’s not like we have otherworldly depth at the middle weights. If there’s some other big recruit that needed more money and whatever was promised to Amato needed to become available that’s one thing, but Amato seemed all the way in on Iowa and...

NEWS: 2027 pledge Sonny Amato announces decommitment

Mineo likes to mess with Iowa fans for sure, but he doesn’t strike me as a guy that just makes stuff up. Amato is a New Jersey guy and I’d be surprised if he wasn’t his source for this information. If you don’t believe it simply because it’s mineo you have your head in the sand.

NEWS: 2027 pledge Sonny Amato announces decommitment

Not very PSUish. PSU keeps guys like this as depth on their roster and doesn’t burn bridges over dumb stuff. They don’t call them out of the blue to tell them there’s no longer a spot for them.
