    At least with Caliendo graduating, we won’t have to hear how the gap is closing between him and Mitchell anymore. Their last match showed the true distance. Sad thing for him is that he could have won two national titles if Mitchell wasn’t wrestling.

    Tom and Terry did a great job of getting their wrestlers to peak at the right time. I hope they each get well deserved 10 year guaranteed contract extensions! As long as they keep their recruiting guru Bobby Telford of course.

    Remember the old saying on the Iowa wrestling board “It’s a great time to be an Iowa wrestling fan”? Well now they get to cheer on the 7 Penn State wrestlers representing the USA as if they were their own. So I guess this is actually the best time to be an Iowa wrestling fan.

    The Levi match was a glaring example of why I can’t stand freestyle wrestling. Usmanov did absolutely nothing ( not even a fake shot) and somehow got two points for passivity on Levi. Then he stalled, got some ref help with an early stoppage, faked an injury and would not get back to center...

    12 of 14 team national championships while giving other PA teams a chance to wrestle on a national stage. I’ll trust in Cael when it comes to scheduling matters.

    Iowa news

    When he got to Iowa, he was the next big thing and future 4 time national champion. Well at least he won a few meaningless matches for them while being the second best wrestler at that weight in Iowa.
