    I have to say, I love shorty's style of play at Louisville. They have an identity...defend, deflect, run, and shoot. They would be fun to watch if hate didn't get in the way.

    You don't know much about basketball. They actually get a lot of points off of turnovers, which is due to their defense. That game with Cincy is exactly why they're so good as they win even when playing badly.

    If we lost tonight's game and/or the next game, fire Pope and bring in Tubby to coach them for the rest of the season as a placeholder. They might not score 100, but neither will the other team.

    You can go on any board and everyone says someone else's fanbase is the worst. You can't generalize a fanbase on the actions of a few. We have a lot of crappy UK fans who do stupid ****. No has a fanbase is beyond reproach.

    So if we have the highest payroll in the country and sign players like Stokes because of it, doesn't that increase the pressure even more on Pope to produce? If we pay out all this money and can't even get a SEC regular season, SEC Tournament, or FF out of it, what's the point then?

    I've seen Stokes play. He's a really good player but he's not the second coming. He's simply not worth that much! I know Pope wants to win the recruiting war with him but this is nuts. He's not a generational type talent.

    I saw some other boards stating UK offered him $4 million guaranteed for 2 years. That is freaking crazy! I can't believe these NIL figures going around. Not sure a high school kid is worth it unless he's Kobe or LeBron-like.

    Well Pope should've never recruited him and offered a scholly. If he came here, you'd be celebrating. Don't be hypocritical. Pope obviously thought he could help the team or he would've never bothered. Maybe Kinney went to KU for the bigger check or maybe he didn't want to take the chance...

    So you're saying no one that has played at UK recently is not a 'look at me' guy? Most studs in sports have an ego. There is nothing wrong with having a healthy ego if you're rated #1 at your position. I want a player to feel like they are that dude. That still does not make him low...

    Why is he low character? What do you know about him to call him low character? Just cause he didn't come here, doesn't mean he is a bad person. If it's because he was chasing the dollar bills, then 95% of the players are low character.

    Pope shouldn't make a habit of being late for interviews with recruits. Just like applying a job, punctuality does matter and does say a lot about you. It would tell me that I'm not that high of a priority if a potential coach shows up 30 min late to my house, and then you have other coaches...
