Trying to get back on board with Pope

Cal at Arkansas: 10 seed 4 seed Pope at UK: 3 seed 6 seed Kentucky has a higher kenpom average kenpom ranking over the last two years as well. Team overall quality isn't appreciably different. What do you expect from Arkansas this year? They had a transcendent PG last season and managed a...

One player that changed things for Pope imo

And Richie Saunders choosing to stay at BYU.

Trying to get back on board with Pope

Dumped the Calipari contracted and got results on par with Calipari's at Arkansas. Net gain. With Cal, we are still a mile away from being elite and are saddled with his shenanigans.

    Will Mitchell stay eligible?

I think it's likely he plays.

    Goodman and Pope

Tre Mitchell and Carr were darn good 4's before their respective back problems. Mitchell in particular became a terrible player in the couple games leading up to and following the first report of his chronic back issues.

    Goodman and Pope

Barring a wildcard, a presumed bench player becoming elite, our season will hinge on how much Zoom and Wilkins improve. Zoom was about Aberdeen productivity last season. Wilkins was not very good. He obviously has skills, but he was a loose cannon with his decision making. They both make a huge...

NCAA wins a decision, many Now are NOT eligible - Aberdeen, etc.

Universities could be on the path to creating professional leagues that are direct competitors to the likes of the NBA and NFL.

    BBN's Choice: Mitchell or Kohler

I prefer Kohler, but both players raise the team's ceiling. Mark brings great 1v1 ability and passing. Kohler is a strong rebounder and great shooter.

    BB: 2026 schedule - your take ?

I feel bad for Florida and all their players who decided to return. They will lose on Senior Night while ranked as the #1 team.

BB: Mitchell or Bust? UK out on Jaxon Kohler

When analyzing the addition of Mitchell, consider that his minutes won't take completely away from McBride or N'Diaye. Mitchell has the skills to play the 3. He's a force, but he also can pass. His assist rate last season would've been the top in our starting lineup. Zoom Milan Mitchell...

    Joe tipton "mark mitchell"

I was surprised to see Mitchell had an assist rate over 20 last season. It would've been the highest in our starting lineup last season. He, however, still leaves some questions on the roster about how we will end possessions. He hasn't been great on the glass or at getting steals. Mitchell...

Torres: Calipari will land the #1 recruiting class again in 2027.

"If Cal were still here, I'd at least have false hope for the next season!"

NCAA President threatens 50% of Season Suspension for Coaches

With what authority? The suspension would be overruled by a random judge in Delaware.

BB: summer recruiting, practice, and Trent Noah updates

Noah had a defensive rebounding rate over 19%. It was the highest on the team. However, in terms of perimeter skill, he didn't bring what we needed. His assist rate was lower than MoD's and shooting was mediocre, to say the least. He created no shots and made few. He was ill fit to succeed in a...

BB: summer recruiting, practice, and Trent Noah updates

Trent Noah was pretty good per minute. His issue is that he isn't self sufficient on offense. He doesn't have the dribbling skill to do really anything but shoot when wide open. This stood out this year since we lacked dynamic playmakers. Noah's rebounding and steals together were elite for his...
