    2026-27 Roster/Lineup Discussion (Portal opens 4/1)

I’m sick of worrying about dual lineups and results. I want the best guys at the best weights for success in March. If 174 is the weight they think gives him the best shot than that’s where I want him. Same goes for any other weight on the team. If it weakens one weight so be it. The goal is...

    2026-27 Roster/Lineup Discussion (Portal opens 4/1)

I can tell you with 100% certainty he plans to and has “paid his dues” wrestling up. He walks around 186 most of the year. he does not have any concern about winning the spot. I like Ford and Iron sharpens Iron so I hope it’s a battle.

Yes. SCW is going 174. Unless someone convinces him otherwise. Which I think then makes Chapman front runner for 184 spot. Don’t see Ford getting to 84.

Hearing about some shakeups in upper weights, between 74-84

Hopefully Magro pushes C Harer which makes them both better.

Be better off elevating Sasso to HC of RTC.

That’s a wild take. Ashnault lost 8x his RS Freshman season. Those are come scarlet covered glasses there. btw, he had a terrific performance in U23 and think Harer will be very good if not great but he is not Bassett level yet and he the weight he will be wrestling in will be extremely strong...

Rutgers Wrestling Set for 2026 U23 Freestyle Nationals

View updates: -B Harer in best of 3 final vs Jordan Williams - Ford Terrific tournament has wrestled back in 6-7 matches to be top 8, could go as high as 3rd still -Herrera, Casale, and Parkins essentially lost in blood round all 1 win from top 8. *I will take back some of what I said on...

Rutgers Wrestling Set for 2026 U23 Freestyle Nationals

Parkins is not the answer. Don’t care if you know them or not. Go by what he has shown on mat since arriving in college. Fine, let’s give Conor a pass if need is bad but then stupid to be competing in this tournament and risking further injury. and if we are going to lose them over message...

Rutgers Wrestling Set for 2026 U23 Freestyle Nationals

Parkins is not the answer at 141 (not sure what we do here if B Harer RS’s like said and Dunnigan has to go 149. C Harer is still same wrestler with no offense on his feet. Ahead 4-1 and gave up 6 pts in last 20 secs to lose 7-4. Hope someone pushes him for a spot (ie Magro). There will still...

Rutgers Wrestling Set for 2026 U23 Freestyle Nationals

Does not look like Townson, Magro or Chapman are competing. Ford had tough draw Henckel Rd 2 gave him good match 8-3. Definitely could see him being our 174 this year.

Saw Santinello to Drexel. Would we have rather had him over Dunnigan?

Wrestling 2027 Point Boro recruit Jake Clayton commits to Rutgers Wrestling

I know Jake pretty well. I would not say huge but certainly good with a lot of upside. Has not put all his energy into wrestling and probably won’t until after HS. He is an elite athlete who I think with a RS year and full concentration on Wrestling, can have an impact. Think Ryan Fordish but...
