Agree - looking at the average star ratings, we're closer to the middle of the B1G and that doesn't include that we have lots of experienced older kids playing because we don't lose people early, have people flunk out, have lots of transfers, etc.
Look at some of the classes ahead of us in the B1G. They have 0 to 1 4 stars, and several with multiple 2 stars. The difference? NU has smaller classes because we graduate almost everyone. If one looks at the average star rating for the entire class, we'd be closer to 8th. So...R E L A X.
Okay. Then perhaps you should find another team to support. I don't think any of the coaches you mentioned would be any better considering they can't recruit 80% of the people they now do.
OSU gave up 328 yards passing. Guess they're a ****** team too. Oh...I forgot. They won.
I don't want to sound like Feline and always complain, but WE WON THE GAME against a top team! Let's enjoy it.
How many times have we seen teams fire a good coach because he wasn't "good enough" and then the new coaches suck? Nebby is a perfect example.
Also, keep in mind that we have such strict grade limitations that only 20% of potential recruits can come to NU, thus making it harder to recruit. Yet...
I agree that our enrollment and being a non-state school make a huge difference Yet, the steady but slow increase in the percentage filled of seats since Fitz took over should eventually change the atmosphere to mostly purple. If we grow 4%/year for 5 more years, that's another 6-7k people...
I'm actually excited for next year too. 12 frosh seeing a lot of playing time. Only 10 of the 44 players comprising the two deep aresnioers. Lotsof returning talent plus the 2018 commits≥ Should be fun to watch!
