I will be shocked if this season goes off as planned

I do think the information about efficacy is easy to collect with questionnaires with people who are admitted as well as with reinfections which honestly has not seemed to have been a major trend. Going back to what some of have said we are a time when the scientific process is live and the data...

I will be shocked if this season goes off as planned

I think the testing to determine antibodies requires drawing blood which harder than just having someone jam a swab up your nose. Also most antibody testing at this point is positive or negative versus actually calculating levels. The data about how long those antibodies then last is whold...

I will be shocked if this season goes off as planned

Just fyi, the determination of the variants is done by whole genome sequencing of the viruses after the fact and should not be confused with the PCR test ... Edit ... I meant to reply to a different post talking about the PCR test being inaccurate and having issued with specificity.

OT: The vaccine is basically a flu shot

Someone already added all the key viruses that act differently ... dont lump all viruses together, much like you shouldnt lump all bacteria together in terms of the antibiotics they are treated with. Most people dont think about it but classes of bacteria are treated differently as well and...

    5G Technology

DNA doesn't do anything on its own, it requires enzymes to manipulate it. It just stores information until it is acted upon by those enzymes which can then transcribe the DNA to RNA. Otherwise the only things these waves could directly do to DNA is cause mutations, similar to what UV Ray's can...

    5G Technology

Hmmm.... where to start. Pubmed is a search engine of journals and nothing more, do not attach any type of additional significance to it. One has to keep in mind the journal from which said article is taken always and when I am looking for information there, I understand there are certain tiers...

    November 4th, 2020

I can't help but get sucked into these threads every time, but usually I find that the people who are treat the issues as i am right and you are wrong seem to be least informed. Let's be clear no matter who the president was this virus would have caused deaths and the response would have been a...

A look at the Florida Covid situation

This is what I mentioned above, overreacting to every study that comes out, this could be good news, but if you really want to be informed you have to understand that just taking their conclusions at face value is not the way to do it. This is a good data point to add to the information that we...

A look at the Florida Covid situation

I did not mention that I was scared. I simply get annoyed by faulty logic where people try to compare apples and oranges to make a point. I am also annoyed by overreaction every time a study comes out, as if somehow one study is the end all when it fits your beliefs versus being another data...

A look at the Florida Covid situation

Smh .... look up faulty logic. Also, does it strike you funny at all that you cite a yearlong death statistic and compare it to deaths over basically a third of a year. Not to mention that statistic is already higher over this same shorter period. I wish people would stop cherry-picking data to...

What is everyone's opinion with what happened in Michigan today?

I'll just speak to the vaccine part here, the flu vaccine has been established for decades and it just gets tweaked a little bit each year depending on which strains appear to be more prominent. Not to mention we already have the infrastructure in place to produce what we need vaccine wise for...
