Must have been getting busy signals on that 1980's-era fax machine they use.

    OT: National Hot Dog Day

A couple years ago I received a big box of meats from Omaha Steaks, including hot dogs. I didn't have freezer room so I had a barbecue and grilled up the whole box. My father, who is from Newark and is familiar with all the places listed above (and who makes a mean Italian hot dog himself, by...

OT - What is the longest you kept a car?

My father bought a 66 Chevy Impala on my 5th birthday in Sept 1965. I inherited it and took it to Rutgers with me in 1978, parked in on the streets of New Brunswick as freshman weren't allowed parking permits on main campus. It had over 200K when I gave it to my brother around 1984. Small block...

OT: Which knot is your favorite for ties?

Ha, I might be one of the most-qualified to answer this question on the board, I have been wearing a tie 4-5 times per week for almost 30 years. The knot depends on the thickness of material/batting and width of the tie; rule of thumb, the thicker and wider the tie, the simpler the knot. Use...

    Favorite 'offbeat' game memories

Around '79 or '80, we were playing Colgate and somebody brought this giant blow-up tube of Colgate toothpaste, I guess it was an advertising piece given to retailers. It made its way down to the field where a cheerleader held it up; huge boos from the hometown faithful. She then threw it on the...

I got caught cheating on my philosophy final. I failed for looking into the soul of the student sitting next to me.

ok favorite song now, list only 2 or 3

Ha! You think that's bad? When I saw Bare Naked Ladies play One Week (similarly-frenzied tempo) they didn't even try to sing all the lyrics. As for my two songs, right now I'll take Tangled Up in Blue - Bob Dylan. Best poetry from the greatest poet of the folk/rock generation. Call it Stormy...

OT: RAIN TO SNOW OVERNIGHT INTO THURSDAY 4-8 INCHES FOR MOST

We celebrated the day off by getting a keg and carrying it back to Clothier. And it was totally legit back then too.

OT: RAIN TO SNOW OVERNIGHT INTO THURSDAY 4-8 INCHES FOR MOST

Snow had stopped here in upper bucks around 1:30 but has started up again. Almost raining tiny flakes. Temp has dropped to 19.

OT: RAIN TO SNOW OVERNIGHT INTO THURSDAY 4-8 INCHES FOR MOST

Wow what a difference here - upper bucks. Went out before 8:00 and took off the first 2 inches. Went out at 11:00 and the temp dropped from 31 to 23. 3 new inches of snow down and the wind picking up too. Need more clothes and better gloves.

OT: RAIN TO SNOW OVERNIGHT INTO THURSDAY 4-8 INCHES FOR MOST

11:00 am opening for state offices seems odd, isn't that going to put people on the roads at the height of the accumulating snow?

OT: RAIN TO SNOW OVERNIGHT INTO THURSDAY 4-8 INCHES FOR MOST

I heard the snow plow go by about 4:45. Got up and there's a little over an inch in Nockamixon, upper Bucks Co. I'm probably 40 miles north of Whitebus, plus elevation over 500 feet. We definitely got about 4 inches from the last storm. My neighbor usually plows my driveway, but he is away...
