Missouri Tigers, at MSU, Game Thread

Why are they kicking short all night tonight? This is already cost us seven points.

Why kicking short every time? Been doing that all night and it cost us seven points once already.

Is the schedule playing out well for us?...

The injuries mounting up are a grim omen. That could easily destroy our season.

Should we throw up a few National Championships in our football stadium?

We've been needing to do this for years. Let's claim one or two. Mississippi has been claiming 2 or 3 for years, even though theirs weren't legit and came out of a Crackerjacks box.

So Chuck Oliver asks Dave Bartoo about Dan Mullen

Dan should be rejected forever at State, after taking advantage of us the way he did. He lost three EB's because he checked out early and was shopping for other jobs before and during the EB's.

Worst ref call in State history (topic from the pay board)...

A famous game in Tiger Stadium. Only got three total downs and were forced to kick a short FG, which cost the 4-point difference in the game. I remember listening to that one on the radio.

    Did something happen to Croom?

My main point is that he had good defenses when factoring in his recruiting results, admittedly helped by Ellis Johnson's efforts.

    Did something happen to Croom?

Team defense ratings are determined by Yards given up per game (total defense) , not points per game as your stats above show. If using the standard measuring stick of YPG average, State in 2004-2008, finished 8, 8, 7, 5, and 10 in total defense in SEC. Ellis Johnson's defenses were quite good...

    Did something happen to Croom?

Good take. One thing that can always be said about the Croom era is that we had stout defenses almost always. I still remember Titus Brown and some other great players.

    This sucks regarding recruiting...

No MULLEN, no way... that guy lost at least three EBs while texting during the game with other schools' Ad's, and having our team totally unprepared.
